If you name your house, your car, your computer, your cell phone, you will find that they come alive. You will be more connected to them in an intuitive way.  You’ll find that your technology works better and sometimes may even seem like your buddy, helping you along.

How could this be?  They are only things – objects that are not alive, right? Wrong!  Everything consists of energy so it is alive and has a “consciousness” although certainly not the same as us humans. Native peoples have always recognized this and talked with the plants, trees, rivers and rocks.

Start naming things then notice if you feel differently about them and if it becomes easier to work with them. You will also notice that you treat them with more respect.  They are not just a cold hard object anymore .

So how to name an object? Just pull a name out of thin air? No, become peaceful and quiet and ask mentally (or aloud if you don’t think your family would cart you off to the funny farm) “What is your name?”  You may hear a name in your mind or just think of a name.  That is probably it.  Try the name on the object.  Does it feel right? You may be surprised. The name may feel just right or you know right away you don’t have the right one. Try again.

My cell phone’s name is Iris. She has a purple cover just like an iris. My computer is Urania, goddess of astrology (appropriate since I use my computer to do astrology).  My home here in Florida – it is yellow – is the Sunshine Cottage.  And my red convertible is Rooster Red. The tree in my back yard is Kenneth.  And on it goes.

Give it a try – name your stuff – and notice how much better it works.

Have you ever wondered why we get colds, flu and the winter ickies this time of year?  How come we don’t get them on the hottest, most beautiful day of the summer?  Is it possible that we are actually programmed to get them this time of year?

There is plenty of support for that. When you turn on the TV you see all kinds of ads for drugs that will heal the flu and colds. Then when you go on line, there are all of those pop up ads about the flu season.  What about your doctor?  He wants you to get your flu shot.

There is a big “thought form” in the unified field that says time to get sick. This is how it works.  Because thoughts are energy, when enough people think the same thought over and over, the energy begins to coalesce around that idea and it becomes a “thought form”. It then exists in the huge energy field we live in is called the unified field.

You are connected to this field through your own energy system consisting of your aura, the field of energy surrounding your body; meridians, energy pathways through your body; and seven main chakras, spinning vortices of energy that are located along your spine. Your chakras are a conduit to the field and bring the content of the field into your energy system.

 If this is true, how come everybody on planet doesn’t have the flu or a cold during flu season?  When the thought form of flu season comes into your energy field, if you are a vibrational match, you will come down with the flu.   If not, you will not be impacted by it.

So what determines whether you are a match? Pretty simple.  Do you have unspoken words of anger toward someone?    Does life feel like it is moving too fast and you cannot take it in?  Do you have gummy, gunk up thoughts and habits from your past that you refuse to give up?

Louise Hay in her book called You Can Heal Your Life explains how this work.  She has a listing of ailments and the probable cause. This is what she says about flu & cold symptoms:

                Sore throat – Holding in angry words; Feeling unable to express the self

                Cough – barking at the world wanting to be seen & heard

                Colds & Influenza – Fear of taking in life fully

                Mucous – Layered deposits of old confused thoughts, wallowing in the gummed mire of the past

You may feel that you have a lot of these causes all the time, but usually a cold or flu will manifest only when you are having an episode of dealing with one of them.

There is a very excellent self healing technique called EFT, which can work great with these symptoms.  You simply tap on your meridians, energy pathways in your body, while you repeat specific verbiage.  The tapping removes blocks from your energy meridians.  And as wild as it may sound, when you have removed the thought forms or blocks from your field, you have removed the illness.

Enough of Cold & Flu Season!!  Let’s refuse to participate and start a movement to create winter as being the Wellness Season.  It is such a happy time of year with all the holidays – Christmas, Hanukah, Kwanza and New Year’s Eve.  Wouldn’t it make more sense to be well rather than sick?

Medicine Wheel

A few days after the winter solstice, a Turtle paid a visit to my Medicine Wheel in my backyard. One thing I know for sure is that everything that shows up in my life has a meaning.  There are no coincidences.  I have learned that when animals show up, they are there with a message. My job is to tune into what that message is.

There are two metaphysical concepts here that I am dealing with – the Medicine Wheel and Power Animals. A Medicine Wheel is a sacred circle of stones from Native American tradition where each stone represents a time of year, a direction or a spiritual principle.

The concept of Power Animals simply says that every animal has a power or medicine that it is willing to share with humans. When an animal shows up, it means in some way you called that animal in with your vibration because you needed the gift it had to offer.

 So by noticing that the turtle entered the wheel at the top which represents north, then moved through part of the wheel and departed at the stone that represents the west, I could decipher his message. 

 The North on the medicine wheel represents the time of winter.  With the winter solstice just having passed, the turtle had come to remind me that now is the time to start posting on my blog which I had put up on 11/11/11.

The north also represents the latter years of our lives when we have gathered wisdom from our life experience and now have an obligation to share it. Native tradition uses the terms of elder for a male and crone for a female to indicate respect for the wisdom gained with age.

Just as an aside, I want to point out that in recent years, women have begun to celebrate their age with a ceremony called a Croning. I had a Crone Ceremony when I turned 60. My female friends gathered to honor me. First, they crowned me with a Crone Crown (a wreath of flowers and herbs) then acknowledged me for the wisdom they saw in me. This wonderful tradition of women owning their age as they  get older, rather than hiding it, is bringing a new paradigm of respect to our Earth.

So as I am a Crone, turtle was saying share your wisdom with the public. Be a messenger for the new spirituality on the New Earth. I gleaned this message  from  three other stones he passed – the stone of communication, the stone of the spiritual messenger and finally the stone representing the public. Turtle departed in the west which represents taking responsibility for giving back the harvest to the Earth.

Turtle in Medicine Wheel

Turtle is one of the oldest symbols for Mother Earth, and reminds us to be mindful of the cycle of give and take and to give back to the Earth and other humans as Mother Earth has given to us.

Easily I could see that my soul had brought Turtle into my life to remind me of  my purpose and to prod me to get on with it. Interesting paradox there – a Turtle  came to PROD me. I am a natural teacher and communicator and delight in writing about all things metaphysical and other worldly…and in stretching people to consider new possibilities.

What coincidences or synchronicities have shown up in your life to give you a message or remind you of something you long to do??

Today we have arrived at the very first day of the long awaited year of 2012 eagerly anticipated by some and dreaded by others. So what is all the fuss? What is true about this puzzling year?? What can we expect – new beginning or end of the world!!!

Definitely a new beginning! It is all about living in a new consciousness where the energy vibrates higher than what we experienced in the past. This means time seems to move faster, we manifest the results of our thinking faster – for either good or bad – plus everything that vibrates at a lower rate in our lives is coming up to heal.  That translates to discord in relationships, imbalance in finances, and disharmony with family members – whatever.  It can no longer exist in the higher vibrations so the higher vibes are pushing it up and out to heal or be released.  I know that when we are in the middle of one of these episodes it does not feel that way.  It just feels like overwhelm and time running too fast and us not getting a break.

I am so clear that the above is true because it is playing out in my life.  I had laryngitis 3 days last week (not willing to speak my truth), irritation at my partner (projecting my anger out on him)while at the same time having only to think about something and it shows up in my life (instant manifestation).What an amazing time to be alive.

On this New Year Day, I want to make a strong statement about us being responsible for every little thing that shows up in our life. Wow, don’t you just hate that?  And  no matter what it is, or how much it seems to be someone doing something to us, or that it is their fault, or that they should change, the bottom line is it is NEVER them, it is always us. Same thing if you have created wonderfulness in your life. You also created that.  Sometimes I find this even harder to accept.  Truth is, if it shows up in my life, I put it there!!

So we are all these amazing god-beings and we can safely affirm that it is never about the other person, no matter what, “It is all about ME!”

So how about taking this on for your mantra in 2012!! , “It is all about ME!” What freedom, what joy in our awareness that we are god beings!!!

I had so much fun writing my posts and got such good feedback from my friends that I decided to put the 21 days on a blog and just continue writing about my travels through everyday life.

Sometimes we try to separate our spiritual life from our “real” life. I believe living in this new consciousness is all encompassing – that our spiritual life is our “real” life. This is how I live, in awareness of unfolding energies such as synchronicities, intuitions and spiritual messages from animals. And finally, of consciously creating my reality each day.

So that is what you will read in this blog. Stories of how I live in the new consciousness. I will share with you the many tools and techniques that enhance my life. Examples are tapping (EFT), connecting with nature spirits, hiring a committee of angels or doing a rampaign of appreciation. Whatever shows up!

I hope you will come here often to feed your spirit. I am putting this blog up on this special day 11/11/11 at 11:11 a.m. to imbue it with the energies of this high vibration. This day happens only once in a century and it represents a doorway to higher consciousness. Some believe this is the day we move from the Piscean to the Aquarian Age.
